About Me

Max is currently a Postdoctoral Associate in the Departments of Physiology and Pharmacology at Western University, Canada, working under the supervision of Prof. Adrian M. Owen. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, China, in 2022. During his doctoral research, he concentrated on developing EEG/ERP-based paradigms and analytical approaches for diagnosing patients with chronic Disorders of Consciousness (DOC), as relying solely on behavioral assessments is challenging and often inaccurate. After transitioning to Western University, Max shifted his focus to investigate EEG/ERP indices combined with machine learning techniques, aiming to improve the prognosis for coma patients in intensive care units.
